Dr Nirupama Bhisey

I started working as a Teacher on completion of M.Sc ( Botany) & B.Ed,  in my maiden job way back in the year 1997 at Nagpur in a State Board School. Sensing my abilities, the Management promoted me to the rank of a Supervisor for the PrMy page 1e-Primary & Primary Sections of the School. The responsibilities included all areas of the School Management. During this assignment, I got a chance to mingle with people from various backgrounds. I also got to know how to lead people and build a team for successful completion of a task.

After 10 years, I was promoted to the position of an Administrative Officer and was in charge of 23 Schools with sections ranging from pre-primary to Junior College. I was responsible for the appointments of Teaching & Non-Teaching staff, Trainings for Teaching & Non-teaching Staff, Inspections for affiliation of Schools, logistics regarding supply of required materials, conduction of Academic & Record Room audits and advertisements & print material for all schools.

My job helped me to meet and communicate  with a lot of students & their parents from in and around Nagpur. This helped me in observing the behaviour, likes & dislikes of the school going students.

I am currently working as an Assistant Registrar in a Health Sciences University. I was awarded a Doctorate in the field of Health Professions Education in January, 2021.

The vast & varied experience that I have, has enabled me to improve & enhance my skills related to observation of people & situations, Interpersonal communication, time bound task completion and creative inclusions in my daily routine. I feel this can positively help me in my new venture as a Career Counsellor as I may be able to understand and guide the Adolescents and entry level professionals in the desired manner.
